Remember, CVS is for developers.
Sometimes, the focus is on one feature, or bug,
possibly at the expense of ALL others !
The 1x_branch is not for developers - it's the same release that's bundled into the zip file. The whole point of syncing to 1x_branch is that when a new release is pushed, it'll be branched into that tree, and I'll be able to cvs up and rebuild without having to go download a whole new zip file. If that's not intended to be the case with 1x_branch, let me know and I'll go back to keeping several copies of .zips around as versions are released.
I just double checked things to make sure, and a recursive diff tells me that the source files are identical (modulo the Makefiles, which I generated with autoconf 2.61 versus 2.63).
I was just wondering if anyone else has seen this behavior out of the box.
