Hi,
May be your are referring to something different, so please correct me and
forgive my ignorance. From the very beginning we configured our Rivendell
system to work from a central server. It has wonderfully worked. I have 5
work station connected to the server. We have the audio and the data base
installed in the server, but each workstation runs its own Rivendell
software and its own sound card. I don't see the need to install sound
cards in the server, since you will still need enough audio channels and
streams to the particular needs of each work station. But I insist, may be
you are referring to something else.

Nevertheless, I am concerned by your statement. Does Rivendell is still
being conceived as a system to run from a central server? Or should I begin
making plans for a new paradigm?
