[RDD] Rivendell and ALSA

I finally resolved all my problems.  My compilation error went away once I
installed the AudioScience driver.  The only problem is, I don't have an
AudioScience card.  I am trying to install and run the software with a
plain old Creative Labs Sound Blaster.

I tried to recompile the libradio with only ALSA support.  I have ALSA ver
1.0.3-37 installed on Suse 9.1.  I did a "make clean" and "./configure
--enable-alsa" and then "make".

I received the same error I did before:

rplaystream.cpp:1131: error: invalid conversion from `unsigned int' to `
   unsigned int*'
rplaystream.cpp:1143: error: invalid conversion from `int' to `
   snd_pcm_uframes_t*'

make[1]: Leaving directory `/root/Documents/libradio/rsound'
make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1

BTW: this is with the libradio from CVS.

Have you guys had much success with ALSA?  Should I be running a different
version?

Will Rivendell work with a plain old sound card or do I have to buy an
AudioScience card?
