Re: [RDD] Rivendell, ASI 5111

I'm still green with cvs, but this works for me... I think they were FG's instructions:
cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx:/home/cvs/srl login
# when asked for password just press the enter key.
cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx:/home/cvs/srl co libradio rivendell

ps. I am attemting to get the CVS to run on RH9/Jack. Have hit a couple of what I think are Qt version issues where some methods are obsolete. Will document with a diff when I get a better handle on it.

What about ASI 4342 card? Will it work with audio storage being mpeg also?

Just so you know, the ASI5111 is PCM only, so you'll need to do the MPEG
encode/decode in s/w (can Rivendell do this?).
It can, however play/record different streams @ different sample rates
simultaneously.

It can *import* external MPEG files, but use of this adapter (or any of the 5xxx series) will restrict you to using PCM16 for internal audio storage. The same is true for JACK connections.

Cheers!
