My tiger
I have been doing a terrible job of blogging lately and have lots of excuses! It has been an incredibly busy month with trips to doctors, Robert doing Santa photos at two different malls (with amazing helpers!), a VERY busy almost-2-year-old, and me not feeling my best. We are 10 days away from being done Santa photos and from my family all coming to Saskatoon for Christmas so I know the end is in sight and my rescuers are on their way!
In general my health and blood pressure have stabilized over the last couple weeks. I have now made it to 32 weeks so that is exciting! My blood pressure is still high, but not dangerously high and I have managed to avoid the hospital for a while. My obstetrician is very nice and keeping a close eye on me for any changes. I have another ultrasound scheduled for the 23rd. Last week Josiah got a cold that turned into a sinus/maybe chest infection, but his antibiotics are now working and he is feeling better. I seem to be getting his cold and taking on too much so I’m feeling very run down today. I have a wonderful nap planned for this afternoon.
My cute Josiah story of the week is that yesterday it was -27 degrees celcius with a wind chill warning and I needed to leave the house to pick up pizza and go to Diane’s for supper and to help get a baby shower ready. Josiah was determined to not wear a coat. (This was better than last week when he decided to not wear pants and Robert took him outside in -16 for a few seconds in just his diaper. He still didn’t want pants, but between the two of us we managed to get them on him after that!) So yesterday he just kept saying “No Mom. No coat”. I kept telling him how cold it was so he ran to his room and came back with his halloween costume and said “Just tiger”. Fine. I decided it would have been a bigger issue if he only wanted to wear a swimsuit instead of a full body fuzzy tiger. I put him in his tiger costume over his clothes with the tiger hood up, his mitts and boots and off we went. We got a lot of stares as we walked across the icy parking lot to pick up the pizza. I really should have stopped to take a picture (but really a video would have been better) of me waddling back to the car carrying pizza, pop, and dragging a little tiger by the arm as his boots kept shooting out from underneath him (winter boots should have grips!). Lots of stares, laughs, and cars stopping to watch, but no help carrying the pizza. So if you are reading this and someday you come across a very pregnant lady in very cold weather carrying too much pizza and dragging a very stubborn tiger please at least stop and help with the pizza!
