Farming with Grandpa
I haven’t posted anything in a while so I thought I would post some pictures I took when we were at the farm last weekend. Monica, Linaya, Josiah and I went to the farm and Roy stayed in Saskatoon to do church stuff and Robert went to help with work day at our church camp. As you can see from this picture that Harold took, it was not ideal camping conditions! They still had a pretty good turn out and got lots of work done.
This is Josiah and I in the truck going out to the field for his first tractor ride with Grandpa.
Here he is with Grandpa. We were lucky that we made it to the farm in time for our tractor ride because this was Dad’s last day of seeding. We are all so excited Dad was able to do his own seeding this year, and to top that off he was the first one in the area to finish! Way to go Dad!

They were both so happy on the deck that we thought we would try a photo shoot in the flowers. All we got was this picture, two crying babies, and a grass (or flower) stain on Josiah’s hat!
This picture is for anyone out there who says Linaya has never had a bad picture! I have a series of very funny pictures of her squishing her face into the strings of the chairs.
This is the sling that Helen made for Josiah. We used it a lot on the weekend. Thanks Helen!
This turned into a long post again. We had so much fun with Grandpa and Grandma!

Immunization day
Today I took Josiah for his immunizations. He is now 25 3/4 inches tall and weighs 17 pounds 14 ounces. That puts him in the 75th percentile for height and almost the 90th for weight. The health nurse was very impressed with all his “talking” and how well he did on his tummy. He didn’t like the needles much, but now he is playing on the floor and laughing so I think he’s over it. Here are a couple pics from this afternoon of him in the new play thing from my Auntie Yvonne. What a spoiled baby!
I have been trying to go for walks every day. Josiah loves his stroller and usually falls asleep before we get to the end of the block. He looked so sweet!

Mother’s Day
This year I celebrated my first Mother’s Day! (Last year I had morning sickness so bad that I stayed home and was sick all day!)
God has blessed us with an amazing little boy that we have so much fun getting to know every day. It seems like everything will be an adventure from now on. I am also very blessed to have such wonderful examples of how to be a great mother from my Mom, Grandmas, and my Mother-in-law. Robert and I are very lucky to have amazing Moms in our lives.

New pics
I have decided that I am not a writer and so I took more pictures so that I would have something to blog. Josiah is getting very big and strong. Next week he goes for his next set of immunizations and I am very interested to know how much he weighs. He has learned a lot of new tricks like trying to put both hands in his mouth at once.
He has also learned that “tummy time” is not that bad. He rolls really well right now from his back onto his stomach. He does this almost every time I put him on the floor. He has also perfected his method of getting from his stomach to his back, but he gets help with this one. He will play on his stomach for a few minutes and then throw his face into the floor and scream at the top of his lungs until I flip him over. Very effective method, but I hope he learns to do it on his own! He also likes us to help him stand up, and he can sit by himself for a few seconds at a time.
Here is a picture of Josiah with our friends Huan and Terrylyn from a couple weeks ago.
Huan’s parents came from China to stay with them and help take care of Terrylyn. They will be missed when they go back home!
Huan gave this outfit to Joisah at his baby shower. I think her sister sent it to her from home. He looked very handsome so here’s a pic to show off the outfit.
That was a lot of pictures of my baby for all of you that have been complaining that I haven’t posted pics in a while. Here is a couple of pictures of Avyn (Karl and Helen’s baby). Her mom put her in the exersaucer. I was just the photographer because she was so cute! She is two months old now and almost as big as Josiah was when he was born. She is so sweet!
