Josiah is four months old today and he has come a long way! Here is his lion series to show how much he has grown.

2 months

3 months

And now at 4 months!

One of the nurses in NICU told me that babies with respiratory problems usually don’t grow as fast for the first few months because they use up their calories for breathing. Josiah no longer has breathing problems and is growing up quickly! I can’t imagine how big he would be with no breathing problems. He would have to start carrying me around soon.

On Thursday and Friday this week Janet and Kellen came to visit us and Kellen joined “Melissa day care” while Janet was at meetings. I was not brave enough to try it on my own so Monica, Diane, Jackie, and Robert all helped at different times. Monica had an all day course on Friday so Linaya was here all day instead of just part of it. It was a lot of fun, but I don’t think I’m ready for three babies all the time. It was a good lesson in how fast a one year old can be! Kellen was very cute and really liked all of us by Thursday afternoon. He loved to go outside so that is where we spent most of Friday afternoon.

The three of them were so cute in their sweaters and hats that I had to take a lot of pictures. Here are some of the cute ones.

Josiah has had a really bad cold this week and was not really in the mood for pictures yesterday. He still seemed to like being outside and loved cuddling with his dad all afternoon. Today he is four months old so I’ll have to take some pictures later with his lion. I’ll do that as another entry since I just posted so many pictures.

We went to the farm this past weekend to visit my parents and grandparents. Robert helped Dad get some farm equipment ready for seeding and spraying. Josiah and I visited and didn’t work too hard. This is Josiah with my Grandpa Bell and Ruby.

He is getting very big and smart. This week he learned how to giggle and he does that a lot. He also figured out how to grab a toy from in front of him and put it in his mouth. He had lots of fun looking in the mirror and figured out that the baby in the mirror likes to smile and laugh too. That would make him so excited that he would sqeal, the baby in the mirror would look shocked and then that would be funny so he’d laugh again. Babies are funny.

I’m so glad that Josiah has a farm to go visit. He’ll have a lot to get into by next summer when he goes outside to “help” Grandpa. My Dad is doing great and has already been out in the field spraying. God is good!

Josiah is just too cute so I have to keep taking pictures. We are thankful for our digital camera because without it we would be broke from developing pictures.
Monica got Josiah this bear suit and he has almost grown out of it so I had to take pictures. We have loved getting outside to go for walks.

The babies both have cool sunglasses now. They don’t mind wearing them and are too little to know that they look funny.

This is Josiah’s John Deere photo shoot. Thanks for the shirt Tim and Sarina! I can’t believe that it fits already. Also note his reading material. I found John Deere books at Cosco so I’m teaching him to be a farmer like Grandpa.

Apparently Josiah just has a regular cold and I have inflammed tonsils so my ears hurt. I am grateful that he doesn’t have an ear infection and that he discovered a very cool toy on each side of his head! Babies are funny. We are both doing fine and plan to take it easy tomorrow.

Josiah was sitting on my lap on the couch in the office while I was trying to type and he kept reaching for the mouse. It was very cute so we had to take a picture. It looks like he’ll be a computer guy like his daddy!

He is also learning a lot of new tricks lately. He lifts his legs up and then rolls on his side. He did this so many times that he turned 180 degrees right off of his quilt!

He still loves his play gym and is getting so good at reaching for what he wants.

These next pictures are just cute.

My Aunt and Uncle (Yvonne and Hugh) bought Easter bunnies for the babies. The bunnies are so cute and much bigger than the babies. The first picture left Josiah in the shadow of his bunny so we had to try again.

I better go for now. Josiah and I both have colds this week so I’m going to take him to the doctor quick this afternoon to make sure that he doesn’t have an ear infection. He has been pulling on his ears all day, but it is hard at this stage to tell if they are bothering him or if he just learned that his ears exist and are a fun toy! I took him for a needle at the hospital this morning and our “little guy” weighs in at 15 pounds 5 ounces.
