It’s hard to believe that my little (alright, he’s actually massive!) baby is already 3 months old. Here are some pictures of my quickly growing baby. On Monday Monica and I took the babies for a long walk and they both slept most of the way. They both love their snuglis.

Grandpa and Grandma Bell came to visit yesterday. My dad had an appointment with the plastic surgeon and his wound from the summer has finally healed and no longer needs bandaging. Mom and Dad claim that they come to Saskatoon for the doctors appointments, but we know that is an excuse to see the babies.

I can’t find the lion that I’ve been taking Josiah’s picture with so here is the giraffe from Robin that I took some of his first pictures with. These are his 3 month pics.

After a couple of pictures he decided to be mad. He was so mad that he stood up by himself on the couch!

This is his sweet smile in his outfit from Auntie Lorna.

This last couple weeks he has learned that it is fun to stand up. He was showing off this new trick for Grandpa. He is such a big strong and healthy boy! Today in Walmart Josiah and I ran into the NICU nurse that he had his very first night when he was still on the ventilator. She was excited to see how well Josiah is doing. God has been so good to our family this year!

I haven’t had time to post in over a week because as usual life has been a little crazy. I took Josiah for his first immunizations on Monday. He did quite well at the time, but got a bit of a fever and not too happy later on in the day. He was only not feeling well for a couple of hours but it made me more grateful for such an easy going baby. On Tuesday and Wednesday morning I babysat Linaya. Here is a cute picture of Monica with both babies.

In the middle of the week Diane, Rob, Xavier, and Niles moved in with us so that Rob could refinish the hardwood floors in their house. It’s a big project and it looks like they will probably move back home tomorrow. Josiah likes playing with his big cousins.
We had church Wednesday night, a baby shower for Avyn Roberts Thursday night, a chorus performance by Western Christian College Friday night, and then plans to take it easy on Saturday……
Our plans did not quite work. Diane and I were just making breakfast for the boys Sat morning when Jackie came upstairs to tell us that there was water on the floor in her bedroom. Our basement was leaking. This happened two years ago and we thought we had the problem solved. Apparently it was just mostly solved. After all day clearing out her bedroom into Robert’s office, taking apart the laminate flooring, mopping, shovelling, and re-directing water things are again under control. A HUGE thank-you to Jackie for still loving us and for her family all helping us with the mess outside and babysitting while we worked! Thanks also to Diane and Rob for their help and for people who heard we were having problems and called offering to help! That was awesome. Here are pictures of Jackies room and all of her stuff in the office.

Here is a cute picture which is much nicer than our lovely basement! This is Josiah and his friend Terrylyn at Avyn’s shower. The sweater he is wearing is from Auntie Karen. My parents and their siblings all had sweaters like this growing up. It is so cute!

Josiah got to meet two beautiful little girls this week. The first was Karl and Helen’s baby (Avyn Sue Munroe Roberts). The second was Rata’s baby Parrimah. Rata is a physical therapist that I work with who is from Iran. She said that parri means angel and mah is moon. She is so pretty!

Here is my co-worker Marla with Parrimah and Rata’s son Fahmir with Josiah.

Here is a cute picture of my boys.

Linaya came to play this afternoon and I couldn’t resist taking a couple pictures of them in their Sunday clothes. They were both kinda grouchy by this point so they aren’t smiling too much!

They actually notice each other now and Linaya is so talented that she stole his shoe off his foot!

Linaya is so cute. She is so good with her hands and plays with everything with such concentration. (Which is really amazing since the girl doesn’t sleep!) She took the remote from me and looks like her mom when she concentrates that hard.

This week my Uncle Hugh (Yvonne’s husband) ended up in the hospital after having a heart attack. It was scary for them because he is only 40 years old and it was unexpected. My mom was here for a couple days to visit and we went to the hospital a couple times to see him. Josiah is a good visitor and really cheered Hugh up, but looks much too comfortable in the hospital!

The exciting part of today’s trip to the hospital was meeting Karl and Helen Roberts’ baby girl. I’m not sure how to spell her name correctly so I’m not going to try. I’m sure they will have pictures on their blog soon at karlandhelenroberts.blogspot.com so check it out. Karl said we could beat them to blogging and post the couple pictures we took.

Congratulations! She is beautiful and very little. Josiah looked like a giant beside her!

I didn’t get Josiah’s picture taken with his lion at exactly 2 months, but this is pretty close. Today we went for one of his immunizations and he weighed in at 13 pounds 0.7 ounces!!! He’s huge!

Robert weighed himself with Josiah and then with Linaya this afternoon and the babies weighed the same. She just turned 5 months old. Linaya is so much stronger than he is. She loved the bug exersaucer, but I had to put a phone book under her feet so she could touch.

Yesterday Niles was home sick from day care so he came over to “Melissa day care” while Diane was in orientation. He spent almost the entire day on the couch and was very cute so I took his picture.

First, here are some pictures of the cool quilt my Mom made for Josiah. I know the pictures are a couple weeks old because I tried to put that navy sleeper on him this morning and it looked like he was wearing spandex and he couldn’t lift his arms. We are on to the 3-6 month clothes now!

This picture is for Grandma Mary who enjoyed watching him discover his hand!

We got to visit Great Grandpa Bell while we were in Gravelbourg. They liked each other a lot! We got some four generation pictures on Mom’s camera that are really special to me. There were times in the last year when I didn’t think I would get my Grandpa, Dad, and son all together in a picture.

Here is another cute picture of Josiah with my Dad. Dad kept trying to “wind him up” before bed, but I think he played him out instead. I never got up more than once a night to feed Josiah the whole time we were at the farm.

Tomorrow we go to the hospital to get one of his shots. I’m interested to see how much he weighs now that he is so big. I think he has caught up to Linaya already which is funny because he just passed 2 months and she is 5 months.
We were shopping the other day and a couple ladies came over to smile at the baby. They said they were so excited to see a stong healthy baby for a change since they are volunteers who hold sick ones at the hospital. They were shocked to hear that we had spent time in NICU with him and I felt very blessed that our baby is now so strong and healthy. God is good!
