On Tuesday and Wednesday this week Diane watched Linaya at our house. One morning the kids matched (completely not planned) and looked so cute we had to take pictures! They both wore their Guatamala booties from Jackie.

Thursday was a very busy day! My parents were here for a quick visit to get new glasses before their Mexico trip. We went out for lunch and they got both babies to sleep. It’s nice that they don’t have to share anymore.
The girls from work had a shower for Josiah and I in the evening. He is spoiled. He got lots of great presents and got passed around a lot. I have great co-workers! Thanks for the shower! My good news of the week is that I finally got a permanent full time position with the Saskatoon Health Region. I have been bouncing around in temporary positions for almost four years, so it is nice to have some job security and the position is at Parkridge Centre where I have been working. I plan to still take my full year maternity leave (yeah Canada!) and then go back to work at least part time starting in January 2008. Here is a picture of Jenn L with Jenn B’s baby Liam. My friend Rata is holding Josiah. She is expecting a baby girl in a couple of weeks.
The other busy part of Thursday is that Robert sang in the Media Idol competition here in Saskatoon. The competition was great and totally surprised the organizers. Robert made it to the final round and sang the song “Happy Together” on his ukulele. He didn’t win, but had a lot of fun and it was a great opportunity to promote our radio station (Free 100.3). This weekend Monica, Jackie, Joyce, Linaya, Josiah and I took Diane to the spa in Moose Jaw to celebrate her being done school. She just finished her final practicums to be a registered nurse. We left for Moose Jaw Saturday morning and Kathy met us for lunch. The babies slept the whole way and were little angels all weekend.
We went to the spa for the afternoon to hang out and relax in the pool. The water temperature was perfect inside for the babies and they played so hard they both fell asleep in the water.
We went out for supper and then back to the hotel where we laughed way too hard! Hide-a-beds are fun, just ask Diane. We went to church in Moose Jaw and got to see some of our loyal blog readers and then went for lunch before coming back to Saskatoon. Nancy had lots of people out to her house for a potluck Sunday night to celebrate Diane’s grad and we were able to suprise Diane with that.
The weekend was very busy and Josiah slept really well last night. Yeah! He is learning to smile this week and I almost caught a couple of them. These are just some cute pictures for his Grandmas.

Tuesday was a busy day. Josiah had a bit of a cold and was either sleeping or grouchy, I babysat Linaya in the morning while Monica was at work and at supper because it was Roy’s birthday, and Diane brought Xavier here from daycare because he has an ear infection and this is her last week of school ever. It all went very well. Linaya is an angel who smiles all the time and puts herself to sleep and Xavier is so big that he put his own dishes in the dishwasher. We had fun reading stories together and playing on the floor. I don’t think that I’m ready to have three kids all the time, but I had a good time on Tuesday.

Just a quick note to say thanks to everyone who came to the church baby shower. (It was last week and I’m behind on blogging.) It was planned quickly for a night with terrible weather, but we still had lots of fun! My parents were able to come because Dad had appointments.
The little girls at the shower loved him! This is his cousin Sonia and very distant cousin McKenna.
The very liitle girls also liked him. This is his cousin Linaya and his friend Terrylyn.

Today Josiah got to check in with a couple doctors. We went this morning to see our family doctor for our 6 week check ups. (He will be 6 weeks old on Thurs.) She was very happy with how we are both doing and had no concerns. He is strong, bright, and growing strong. He weighed in at 10 pounds!!! I think he is going to catch up to his cousin very soon if he keeps this up.
This afternoon we went to the hospital to see the Respiratory Therapist and the Pediatric Respirologist. He fell asleep in the car so they were able to hook him up to the oxygen monitor without waking him and keep track of how he was doing for about half an hour. They were very pleased with his progress and said that he doesn’t need the oxygen at all anymore. Yeah!! The respirologist said that he doesn’t expect him to have any problems in the future and that from now on he considers him to be a “normal boy”. They said that we can just follow up with our family doctor and there is no need for them to see him anymore at the hospital. It was a busy day with appointments, but God is good and we are thankful for Him healing our little boy.
I kept thinking of Pinnochio today becoming a “real boy” once his puppet lines were removed.

Josiah turned one month old Jan 28 and I have been slow at posting pictures. I took a lot on the 28th and then my camera crashed so I snapped these quick on the way out the door on the 29th. We’ll work on a better photo shoot for the two month pics.
Here he is with the lion from Grandma, Grandpa, and Uncle Stephen.
He is very bright-eyed for such a little guy! He loves to lay on the floor and talk to us.
And here are his very favorite socks from Tim and Sarina. He wore them to church last Sunday and this week some of the kids came to see if he was wearing his tractor socks again. Very cool! He also has a John Deere shirt that should fit him in time to go seeding with Grandpa!
